Technological Determinism, the basic ideas of which are described in the D.Chandler’s book: ( http://www.aber.ac.uk/media/Documents/tecdet/tecdet.html ) means explaining all social processes through the influence of technology. As for me I agree with this point in general view. Surely people, their mode of life and even thoughts depends on the technological level very much. People even started to build families and have children having met one another in the web! And who will say that there is no influence from the technology? ))
At the same time technology is a product on human’s mind and activity, so I think it is humanitaran thing as well. people make technology products for themselves an put there part of their soul.
So technology is not some evil spoiling “pure’ human’s life. technology, from this point, is a part of human nature and is under human’s influence as well.
